Pictured crossing
the viaduct at Laxey is 'Car No 24'. The actual No 24 had a complicated
history, being delivered as trailer No 19 in 1898, renumbered to 40 in
1899 then motorised as No 24 in 1903 before being destroyed in the Laxey
dpot fire of 1930.
